2. Volumetric Microscopy

2.1. Objective

We will develop tools for integrating data from microscopy images of optically cleared or serially sectioned tissue with MRI data to enable regional quantitation of data derived from microscopy studies. We will develop tools to assess measures in the microscopy data, including cell counting in automatically segmented regions, axon following, dendritic arborization, and dendritic spine counting. These tools will provide important measures related to neurodegeneration and other brain changes.
